Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
InvoiceKit is built around a simple principle: your business documents belong to you. Every invoice, receipt, quotation, and credit note you create on this site is generated entirely inside your web browser. Your financial data never leaves your device, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never accessible to us or any third party.
This policy explains what little data we do interact with, and more importantly, all the data we do not.
How Our Tools Work
When you use any InvoiceKit tool — whether it is the invoice generator, purchase order builder, or timesheet calculator — the entire process runs in your browser using JavaScript. The data you enter (client names, amounts, line items, tax rates) stays in your browser's memory while you work and is discarded when you close or refresh the page, unless you choose to save it locally.
Invoice data is generated in your browser and never touches our servers. We have no database storing your invoices, no backend processing your financial information, and no way to retrieve documents you have created. When you click "Download PDF," that file is produced on your device by your browser — not fetched from a server.
Information We Do Not Collect
To be explicit about what we never see or store:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Invoice content, amounts, client details, or line items
- Financial or banking information
- Uploaded logos or branding assets
- Generated PDFs or document files
Local Storage and Preferences
InvoiceKit may use your browser's localStorage to remember preferences such as your preferred currency, default tax rate, recently used tool, or theme setting. This data exists only on your device — it is not synced, uploaded, or backed up to any server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
We also use localStorage to maintain a history of tools you have used recently, making it easier to return to your workflow. This history is stored locally and is never transmitted.
Cookies and Analytics
InvoiceKit does not set first-party tracking cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns — such as which tools are most popular or which pages receive the most visits — but these analytics do not identify individual users, do not track across sites, and do not use cookies for profiling.
Third-Party Advertising
We display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free availability of our tools. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. The advertising is handled entirely by Google's infrastructure and we do not share any tool usage data with advertisers.
Shareable Links
Some tools offer a "share" feature that encodes your current inputs into the URL hash. This data is included in the URL fragment (after the # symbol), which is not sent to our servers by browsers. Anyone you share the link with can see the encoded data, so be mindful of what you include before sharing a link.
Data Security
Because we do not collect or store your data, there is no central database that could be compromised. Your documents exist only on your device for as long as you keep them there. Our site is served over HTTPS, ensuring that the code delivered to your browser has not been tampered with in transit.
Children's Privacy
InvoiceKit is a general-purpose business tool. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, and since we collect no personal information from any user, this extends naturally to all visitors regardless of age.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top. Since we do not collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly — we encourage you to check this page periodically if you have concerns.
